A qualified applicant must possess:
- Evidence of high school completion
- A valid Illinois Substitute Teaching License
- Two years of work experience with early elementary learners
- Proven student de-escalation skills with professional references
Requirements:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and organize
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and school personnel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of school-based intervention procedures and confidentiality laws (FERPA)
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct social-emotional support to students.
- Assist in developing and implementing interventions
- Provide a safe and effective educational environment for students.
- Communicate with families as needed
- Work collaboratively with other staff members for the integration of school-wide social and emotional
- Develop student support plans
- Provide social-emotional learning support resources to staff.
- learning education aligned with GPA ESLR’s.
- Have a working knowledge of data used to make decisions and adjustments to the SEL program.
- Facilitate mediation to resolve minor peer conflicts
- Assist with projects including grade-level and school-wide initiatives,
- Participate in meeting activities (e.g., RTI, staff meetings/ training) related to SEL and building initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and student information.
- Serves as a substitute teacher in classrooms if needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary:
